I heard this story years ago and found it so inspiring that even years later, I still sometimes hear Him say, “Mary Jo, do you have faith in Me?”

God was about to walk across a tightrope between two mountains. There are miles of free falling space below. He looks right at you and asks, “Can I walk across this tightrope? Do you have faith in Me?”

You know that God can do ANYTHING, so of course you say, “Yes! I have faith in You!”God walks across the tightrope.

Then God grabs a wheelbarrow. He looks right at you and asks, “Can I walk back across this tightrope WITH a wheelbarrow? Do you have faith in Me?”

You know that God can do ANYTHING, so of course you say, “Yes! I have faith in You!” God walks across the tightrope with the wheelbarrow.

Then God looks at you, staring directly into your eyes and says, “Do you think I can walk back across with this wheelbarrow? Do you have faith in Me?” You know how this works. You excitedly scream, “Yes! I have faith in You!”

God replies, “Get in.”

God desires us to trust Him with all of our lives. Our time, our families, our money, our struggles, our happiness, our pain  . . . He desires ALL. We also know He is a good, good Father who loves us deeply and only leads us to peace and joy. When we have faith in Him and give Him ALL . . . He will work miracles within our lives.
